for personal growth and success of the individual. Two levels of
residential support are provided.

an independent lifestyle.
Supported Living
AFH staff are dedicated to promoting independence in our homes. Respecting the dignity and choices of our
individuals is our first priority.
Supported living provides individuals the opportunities to learn the
techniques needed to gain a living style that is as self reliant as
possible.
Our staff teach meal planning and preparation, budgeting and
shopping for household and personal necessities, personal hygiene,
health care, community orientation and recreational activity
planning and participation.
AFH staff are also trained to supervise medical appointments, handle
emergency situations, provide safe transportation to life’s events
and provide assistance with personal care as required.
Family and friends are always welcome to visit.
Independent Living
For those individuals living in their own apartment or home AFH
provides support tailored to the specific needs of the individual
from 24hr care to just a few hours a day. Supports include learning
how to access community services such as transportation, healthcare,
social security benefits, and assistance with cooking, cleaning,
financial planning and recreational activities. Individuals are
encouraged to pursue self sufficiency and experience independence in
all aspects of daily living.
