Our primary mission is to provide needed and requested high quality services to adults with physical or intellectual challenges in the least restrictive environment in order to achieve desired outcomes. We seek to maximize the abilities and independence skills of people with disabilities by providing options and opportunities through beneficial work, quality programs and those services designed to increase self-dependence, wellbeing, productivity, and community participation. We support informed decision making in all areas. Information well be given as needed in all program areas including accessibility assistive technology and reasonable accommodation. AFH subscribes to all applicable State of Arizona governing rules and regulation, the U.S. Department of Labor-Wage and Hour Division’s regulation and is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. AFH is an affirmative action employer. The Centers provide equal opportunities for services and employment irrespective of race, creed, color, religion, sex, marital status, age, or disability.

AFH believes in an individual's right to choose services most suited to his or her needs. AFH will provide a wide range of services to accommodate the needs of those served.
AFH a multi-service agency, has been providing services to adults with disabilities for over 40 years.

AFH works with individuals at the Perry Center located in Phoenix as well as at The Casa Grande Center. Eighteen supervised group homes are located throughout Phoenix and Casa Grande. These homes give clients the chance to learn the skills necessary for independent living as they are able to socialize and perform tasks that others take for granted.

While AFH is able to provide services to over 400 individuals annually, many more wait for assistance because of lack of governmental or private funding. An important part of The Foundation's future plan is to be able to provide services to those individuals who continue to search for assistance.
